"We are delighted that the all-electric Audi e-tron GT quattro has been nominated in as many as 3 categories just a year after its world premiere. We are particularly proud that the Audi e-tron GT quattro has won the title of "World's Most Powerful Car of the Year", and this is the fifth time that this category has gone to Audi. The Audi e-tron GT quattro proves that electric mobility can be sustainable, dynamic and fascinating at the same time. That's why this car is an important part of our commitment to electric mobility," Oliver Hofman, Audi's board member responsible for technical development, said after the awards program.

As previously announced, from 2026 Audi will introduce new models to the global market exclusively with electric drive systems. From 2025 all production at Audi factories will be carbon neutral. These changes are already being implemented in Brussels, Gjera and Böllinger Höf, where the Audi e-tron GT quattro is produced.

An advanced temperature control system ensures constant power

The efficiency that earned the Audi e-tron GT quattro the World's Most Powerful Car of the Year award is largely ensured by an advanced temperature management system. In the Audi e-tron GT quattro, this system consists of four heating circuits. This means that the battery and drivetrain components maintain an ideal temperature, so that the performance of the car can be restored at any time.

Thanks to the intelligent temperature management system, using the e-tron route planner in the e-tron GT quattro, the battery will be charged at the ideal temperature, depending on the outside temperature, even while the car is in motion, which is extremely useful for fast charging with an output of 270 kW.

Audi continues its winning streak

This year's victory took the four-ring carmaker to a total of eleven first places in the World Car Awards. This made Audi the most successful manufacturer in the history of these awards.
