Mercedes-Benz has great news for families: the new T-Class will provide incredible travel pleasure

The private small van segment has grown significantly in Europe over the past few years. The Mercedes-Benz T-Class was created for families with children and leisure enthusiasts who need a lot of space for everyday life, weekend trips or sports activities, while also appreciating comfort and style.

This all-new model combines versatility, large cabin space and top-of-the-line equipment. Abundant standard solutions for comfort and safety make the T-class model a modern and reliable companion that meets the needs of a dynamic lifestyle.

The new T-Class is recognizable from afar as a member of the Mercedes-Benz family. Its design is characterized by balanced proportions, and the bright wheel arches emphasize the car's dynamism.

Although the dimensions of the car are small, its interior is spacious. The length of the five-seater T-class car is 4498 mm, the width is 1859 mm, and the height is 1811 mm. A longer-wheelbase version with seven seats will follow later. In the standard base version, the capacity of the luggage compartment can be from 520 to 2127 liters.

One of the advantages of the T-class, which will make the everyday life of families and active leisure lovers more comfortable, is the extremely low threshold of the car, which reaches only 561 mm. Sliding doors on both sides of the car provide convenient access to the cabin, especially in narrow streets or parking lots.

The door opening, which is more than a meter high, also makes it easy to install seats for small passengers, and for grown-up children to get in and out. If necessary, these side doors can be used to load sports equipment such as bicycles or snowboards.

The rear seats here are folded almost to the floor level of the luggage compartment. As a result, the car interior is adapted to various needs, which may change several times a day.

Standard equipment is available

The standard equipment of the T-class car includes the MBUX infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen and smartphone integration, touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel, air conditioning, keyless entry, a dashboard with a 5.5-inch color screen, as well as a height-adjustable driver's seat. seat, closed storage compartment and pockets in the front seat backs.

This car also features wireless charging, two USB ports in the center console, high beam assistant and LED headlights.

The car is already ready to use many Mercedes Me Connect digital services. These include remote checking of the car's status and remote locking and unlocking of the doors.

Safety: assistance systems and seven safety airbags

The standard equipment of the T-class car is equipped with many safety measures. These include tire pressure warning, hill descent control, crosswind, fatigue warning, active lane keeping, blind spot and speed limit assist systems.

There are also seven airbags that protect all the car's passengers. For example, in the event of a severe side impact, the central airbag deploys between the driver and front passenger seats, reducing the risk of contact between the two passengers.

In addition, standard ISOFIX fastening devices for child seats are installed both on the rear seats and on the front passenger seat. For safety reasons, an automatic child seat recognition system has been installed. It ensures that the front passenger airbag is turned off when the little co-pilot is in the car.

Economical modern engines

The T-Class car is initially offered with 1.3-liter gasoline and 1.5-liter diesel engines. Each of these engines has two power versions. The gasoline engine versions are available in 102 and 131 hp, with a torque of 200 or 240 Nm. The modifications of the diesel engine are 96 and 116 hp, respectively, with a torque of 260 and 270 Nm.

These four-cylinder engines are distinguished by high torque even in the low rev range and optimal consumption figures. For even faster acceleration, such as when cornering, the 116 hp diesel model features an Overpower/Overtorque function that briefly boosts power to 121 hp and torque to 295 Nm.

All engines are also combined with the ECO start/stop function. Both diesel versions and the more powerful petrol version can be equipped with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
