The capabilities of the new generation Audi RS 3 sports car were demonstrated to journalists writing about cars at the "Nemunas Ring" race track in Kačerginė. The representatives of the media were able to assess for themselves both this and two other models characterized by exceptional dynamics, power and speed - "RS 4" and "RS 6" - as well as the fully electric "e-tron GT". The cars not only ran on the race track, but also demonstrated their talents in slalom, speed races, and an impressive RS 3 side-slide performance was also held.
"The RS model family has been delighting fans of speed-loving cars for 28 years. Impressive power, advanced technologies and even the sound that can be felt in the body provide an exceptional experience for the driver - it is simply necessary to feel it to understand", says Ilgvars Lubka, Audi brand manager in Lithuania and Latvia.
A team of experienced instructors helped the media to test the dynamics and handling of the aggressive Audi four on a professional race track, who advised them and shared tips already during the drive.
Last year's updated Audi RS 3 model, which has the best dynamic parameters in its class, received special attention. The torque distribution system and drive modes exclusive to the RS version ensure exceptional driving characteristics. Power is provided by a highly efficient five-cylinder engine of 294 kW (400 hp), and the torque of 500 Nm ensures an even faster response to pressing the accelerator. From 0 to 100 km/h. it accelerates in just 3.8 seconds and can reach 290 km/h. maximum speed. The RS 3 also features athletic body shapes, an RS sports exhaust system and sports car-like instrument cluster.
The Audi RS 4, which combines impressive power and extremely practical everyday features, did not leave anyone indifferent. Under its hood is a 2.9 l TFSI 331 kW (450 hp) and 600 Nm engine that allows up to 100 km/h. accelerate in 4.1 seconds.
Also catching on the race track was the powerful yet maneuverable station wagon "RS 6" 4.0 TFSI engine, which reaches 441 kW (600 hp) and 800 Nm of torque.
Electric cars at the event were represented by the Audi e-tron GT, a four-door sporty touring electric car with an engine power of 440 kW (598 hp) and an extremely aerodynamic body with a drag coefficient of only 0.24.
Audi offers a very wide range of sports cars. In addition to the compact RS 3, the practical and fast RS 4, RS 5, RS 6, RS 7, as well as the off-road versions of the RS Q3 and RS Q8 and the supercar R8 are also available. . I. Lubka notes that all sporty Audi models are not only fast - comfort, safety and excellent ergonomics are equally important values of the brand.
A unique event for media representatives was organized by "Audi Lietuva" in cooperation with "Audi driving academy by Autojuta". This is the 118th time that so many Audi sports cars have gathered on one racetrack, and this event opened a new season of the driving academy.
