The new Range Rovers have been delivered to the first customers in Lithuania

Just half a year has passed since the world premiere at the Royal Covent Garden Opera House in London, and the first luxury cars of the new generation of Range Rover have rolled out onto the streets of Lithuania. The drivers of the Baltic countries who ordered the cars they want at the earliest can already try out all the features of the "First Edition" version of the extremely modern and technologically advanced SUV model.

“The new Range Rover is the most advanced model Land Rover has ever produced and has been eagerly awaited by many premium motorists, both previous owners and those considering it. We see a growing interest in this model in the Baltic countries - orders have exceeded expectations at least twice. A similar trend can be seen in other countries as well," says Justė Jarušė, the business manager of the Jaguar Land Rover concern in the Baltic countries.

In Lithuania alone, 82 buyers have already ordered the new luxury SUV.

Choose the highest configuration

More than two thirds - 72 percent. - drivers in the Baltic countries chose the Autobiography models of the highest configuration, and some of the fifth generation Range Rovers coming to our region will be marked with additional letters SV. This marking shows the special desire of the new owner to complete the new model according to personal needs.

The ceramic SV-badged models are an exclusive interpretation of Range Rover. These versions of the car are developed by the company's special product development unit, Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), so they feature an abundance of hand-crafted details. The engineers of this workshop design cars of extreme luxury, performance and comfort.

According to J. Jaruše, it would be difficult to separate these features from the new flagship of the British company. Over five decades of production, Range Rover has established a strong position in the world of luxury goods thanks to cars that stand out for their extreme refinement, elegance and advanced technology.

Technological progress is one of the key features of the new model. At the company's legendary plant in Solihull, England, the car is assembled on a state-of-the-art production line based on Land Rover's new adaptive modular longitudinal architecture (Modular Longitudinal Architecture).

This architecture not only makes it possible to design all possible power systems in cars, from internal combustion engines to hybrid or electric-only drives (debuting in 2024), but also ensures the integration of the best driving control systems used to date. Land Rover's innovative suspension control system controls the widest range of chassis technologies, so the driver can avoid poor roads and enjoy the highest level of safety.

The all-wheel steering system provides additional stability both at high speed and when cornering, while the advanced electronically controlled air suspension reacts in advance to road conditions ahead using eHorizon navigation data.

New generation technologies

Great technological progress can be felt even in a stationary car, as soon as you enter the cabin. The award-winning PiVi Pro infotainment system in the new Range Rover features the largest curved 13.1-inch diagonal touchscreen ever. The two eSIM cards integrated into the advanced system allow much faster software updates without any interference from the Internet, which is needed at the time for other apps to work.

To ensure special acoustic comfort, manufacturers have developed a third-generation active noise reduction system. Its effectiveness is determined by a wide range of solutions: both the extremely tight body structure and high-quality sound insulation materials, as well as the microphones and speakers in the headrests that remove the opposite frequency sounds - similar to active noise-cancelling headphones of the highest class.

The new Range Rover uses the most advanced lighting technology. Installed powerful digital LED lights can illuminate the road even at a distance of 500 meters. Dynamic light projection technology is installed in the adaptive front lighting system, which helps to optimize the emitted light beam, shape it and precisely adapt it to driving conditions, such as car speed, environment, traffic situation.

The Range Rover driver can control the car from the outside. After activating the remote parking assistant in the PiVi Pro system, you only need to indicate which of the available parking spaces to choose. Narrow spaces are distinguished that can only be entered with the help of the remote parking assistant: then the driver can simply get out of the car and complete the maneuver using the app.

The security of the luxury SUV is also taken care of by the wideband (UWB) transceivers - they protect the key signal copying equipment used by car thieves. Jaguar Land Rover is one of the first car manufacturers to introduce this modern technology and an innovative security system that meets the strictest global safety standards.

Sustainability is not just in the engine compartment

The advanced platform allows you to choose models with different character, so 70 of the first 170 new Range Rovers in the Baltic countries will be distinguished by gasoline V8 power plants.

On the roads of our region, we will soon see the first plug-in hybrid Range Rovers, which can cover up to 100 km in electric mode alone (according to the WLTP methodology), which also results in CO2 emissions of less than 30 g/km of this car.

By the way, sustainability when equipping a car is not limited to the choice of power systems alone. Along with innovative materials and processes, the environmental impact of the production and use of the new Range Rover has been reduced. One of the reasons for this was the updated Kvadrat wool blend fabric, which is offered as an alternative to the leather interior.

This wool blend is combined with Ultrafabrics fabric, which has all the tactile qualities of skin, but is 30 percent. lighter than similar leather materials and emits 75 percent during production. less CO2.

The new car can already be tested at the Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Vilnius.
