Toyota and Lexus companies introduced a unique service that will be relevant to many drivers of these brands of cars in Lithuania. From April 1, 2022, the cars of both manufacturers will be provided with a long-term warranty that will be valid for 10 years or 185,000 kilometers driven. As the very name of the service "Relax" suggests, during the entire period, drivers will be able to forget about most of the worries related to unexpected breakdowns.

The benefit of this service for consumers is that it will replace the additional warranty when the new car warranty expires. The Relax warranty will be automatically valid if the manufacturer's requirements are met at an authorized Toyota or Lexus service center. Customers of all Baltic countries will be able to use it.


Powers in many European countries

Until now, car owners had to pay an additional amount to extend the warranty for a fixed period. This practice is used by various manufacturers, but there was always a lack of consistency in determining the validity periods of services and their prices, which was unacceptable to consumers.

 "We, the representatives of the Toyota and Lexus brands, believe that their owners should not have to pay extra for the peace of mind of using a car," says Oleg Fomin, product manager of services at Toyota Baltic AS.

Toyota Relax or Lexus Relax warranties automatically expire after the manufacturer's warranty expires. All you need to do is visit an authorized service center regularly and carry out technical maintenance. Duration of validity - until the next scheduled maintenance visit according to the manufacturer's program.

Toyota Motor Europe's warranty is unique in that it does not cost customers extra. It also means that the services of Toyota Relax and Lexus Relax will be available in many countries of the European Union, and then will gradually cover its entire territory.

It is also important that the Toyota Relax and Lexus Relax warranty is valid for all European Union homologated models. Regardless of the country from which the car was imported and even if it is not Toyota Baltic AS company, but another company or even a private person, the warranty will be valid in any case. Car maintenance can also be done in any country.

It is important to note that if the car's technical maintenance was not always carried out at authorized service centers or if the manufacturer's requirements were not met, the specialists of an authorized Toyota or Lexus service center can additionally check the condition of the vehicle. This will allow them to determine whether the car can be covered by the Relax warranty and the inspection will be paid for by the car owner.

The "Relax" warranty can be applied for a maximum period of 10 years from the date of car registration, and the mileage cannot exceed 185,000 kilometers. This means that it can be used by all owners of Toyota and Lexus cars that meet these criteria and have EU homologation driving on the roads of the Baltic countries.
