Toyota has officially started pre-sales of the new electric passenger models Proace City Electric and Proace City Verso Electric. The Japanese manufacturer also revealed the prices of these electric cars, and the first cars ordered in the Baltic countries will be delivered to customers in August.

Proace's wide range of electric versions includes a cargo van and passenger models with five or seven seats. The new electric cars are ideal for fleets or smaller companies looking for efficient and reliable work cars while at the same time trying to reduce their negative impact on the environment.

When developing the new models, special attention was paid to practicality - due to the installed electric drive, it was not affected at all. For example, the loading options are the same as models with internal combustion engines: the capacity of the cargo compartment of electric cars is up to 4.4 m3, and the weight of the transported cargo is up to 800 kg.

The maximum load capacity of the short wheelbase version is exactly 800 kg, and of the model with a longer wheelbase - 750 kg. Both van and passenger Verso models can tow trailers up to 750kg.

Proace City Electric and Proace City Verso Electric buyers will also be given additional assurance by an exclusive offer - five years of free maintenance.

Nashi electric drive

In order to maximize the space of the cargo compartment, the lithium-ion battery is installed under the floor of the electric car. The 216 battery cells are divided into 18 modules and have a capacity of 50 kWh. This allows for a range of 260 to 280 km on a single charge according to the WLTP test cycle. The maximum speed of the electric car is 135 km/h.

All Proace City Electric models have an integrated three-phase 11 kW OBC charger. Also, standard equipment for electric cars includes both a standard charging cable and a cable for connecting the vehicle to a wall station at home.

By using a wall station and an integrated three-phase charger, the energy reserve can be up to 100%. can be refilled in five hours. When connected to a fast charging 100 kW DC station, charging up to 80 percent. will last only 30 minutes.

Safety-enhancing auxiliary systems

Toyota's top-rated Safety Sense active safety systems are standard on all Proace City Verso Electric models. Among the most important systems are emergency braking to avoid collisions, lane keeping assistance, recognition of traffic signs and warning of reduced driver vigilance.
